Fifty miles is long enough for a slipping clutch, a humming wheel bearing or a gearbox that baulks into second to show itself. A lap of the block finds none of that, which is why cars occasionally disappear before they are ever listed.
The warranty is an engine and gearbox warranty and means exactly that. It runs for three months from the day you collect the car, and if something goes wrong in that time you ring Lex on 07900 910 588 first. It is written on your invoice, not promised verbally.
Buying from Lex
We are a family business, and the whole thing is deliberately short. You ring or message, Lex has the car out and unlocked when you arrive, and you look at it in your own time. Nobody follows you round the forecourt, there is no business manager waiting in a side office, and there is no pressure to decide today.
One price, agreed and written down, with nothing added at the end — no admin fee. Payment is by cash, bank transfer or card. Part exchange is welcome subject to appraisal, and Lex will buy your car outright even if you are not buying one from us.
You also get a straight answer about the car in front of you. A mark on the wing, a tired seat bolster, an advisory on the last MOT — you hear about it standing next to the car, not afterwards.
